You've read the books. You've sat in the therapy chair. You've downloaded the app, tried the breathing, done the courses. You can explain your patterns to anyone who asks.
And your body still does the thing you're trying hard not to do. Still snaps at people. Still freezes. Still can't stop even when you're exhausted.
That's because understanding a pattern and changing it are two different things. The pattern has a root, usually a moment or a belief from childhood, stored somewhere your conscious efforts can't reach. Your nervous system has been running that programme ever since.
You can't think your way out of a pattern your body stored before you had words for it. It requires working at the level where it's held.
Your Brain Gets Overridden
You know what you want to say. You plan your response. But in the moment, your body takes over - you freeze, shut down, or react in ways you didn't choose.
Why this happens: Your nervous system operates beneath conscious thought. When it detects threat, it takes your prefrontal cortex offline - the part of your brain responsible for rational thinking, planning, and impulse control. That's why understanding what to do doesn't help in the moment. Your thinking brain has already been shut out.
You Swing Between Two Extremes
Some days you're wired - anxious, racing thoughts, can't sit still. Other days you're completely shut down, in a burnout cycle - numb, exhausted, disconnected. You never know which version you'll wake up as.
Why this happens: Your nervous system oscillates between hyperarousal (fight/flight) and hypoarousal (freeze/shutdown). It's operating in protective mode and can't find regulation. When your nervous system is stuck in protective mode, cortisol stays elevated — and that affects everything from sleep and energy to how you think and respond under pressure.
You’re Holding Too Many Plates
Work demands. Kids. Aging parents. Your own health changing. You're managing it all - until one unexpected email or stressor, and suddenly it’s all too much. Small things that didn't used to bother you now derail your entire day.
Why this happens: When your nervous system is already maxed out, even small additional demands push you past your window of tolerance. You used to be able to handle everything. Now your capacity has shrunk.
It’s not about your ‘mindset’. These are nervous system problems.
Your nervous system is designed to keep you alive, not make you happy and after burnout or years of chronic stress, chronically elevated cortisol rewires your baseline — your nervous system stops registering high alert as unusual and starts treating it as normal. At that point, insight and coping strategies aren't enough. The physiology itself needs to change.
You can't think your way out of a physiology problem. It requires addressing it at the physiological level.
The goal is to retrain your Nervous System, so it responds more consistently, with greater capacity and flexibility.

EMBODY works at two levels simultaneously. RTT® (Rapid Transformational Therapy) finds and changes the root belief keeping your nervous system stuck. Somatic regulation tools work with how that belief has been showing up in your body, your sleep, your reactions, your relationships.

Subconscious Pattern Work (RTT®):
Some nervous system responses are driven by long-held beliefs or associations formed in childhood. RTT® identifies where the belief came from andchanges it at the source, so your system stops defaulting to protection when it doesn't need to.
Practical Regulation Tools:
Build regulation capacity at the physiological level. Develop a personalised set of tools that match your specific patterns. Simple, repeatable, designed for everyday situations.
Real-Time Assessment:
Identify your current state using clear, observable indicators. Choose the right tool at the right time, rather than relying on generic strategies.
Not everyone needs calming. Some people need activation.

The EMBODY Programme
EMBODY is a 10-week 1:1 programme for professionals who understand their patterns but can't shift them. It uses RTT® to find and change the root belief driving the pattern, and nervous system regulation to work with how that belief has been living in your body. Both layers, together. That's how lasting change actually happens.
Everything is delivered online, so you can be anywhere in New Zealand, Australia, or internationally.
Programme Structure
Weeks 1-3: Map your pattern
We assess your nervous system using validated tools and map whether you're predominantly hyperaroused, hypoaroused, or cycling between both. But we also start identifying what's driving it. Not just the symptoms. The beliefs underneath.
Weeks 4-6: Build the capacity your system needs
You develop personalised regulation tools matched to your specific nervous system pattern. Not generic breathing exercises. Tools that work for the state you're actually in. This builds the foundation that makes the deeper work in weeks 7-8 more effective and sustainable.
Weeks 7-8: Go where the pattern is stored
A 90-minute RTT® session targeting the subconscious beliefs keeping your nervous system stuck. This is where we find the root, the belief from childhood that's been running the programme, and change it. Things like "rest means I'm lazy," "if I slow down everything falls apart," "I'm only safe when I'm in control.
Weeks 9-10: Make it stick
Integration and sustainability. We build your long-term regulation practice so this is something you know how to do yourself.

RTT® uses a structured hypnotherapy process to identify where a belief came from and replace it with one that supports your life now. It works through neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new pathways, so your nervous system stops defaulting to protection when it doesn't need to.
In EMBODY, RTT® targets the beliefs that keep your system stuck: 'rest means laziness,' 'everything falls apart if I slow down,' 'I'm only safe when I'm in control.' The patterns that no amount of insight or willpower will shift on their own.

I've worked in the New Zealand health sector for over 20 years, including 10 years as a physiotherapist specialising in respiratory and neurological rehab, and a decade in corporate leadership all while caregiving for a disabled family member and raising kids.
This combination taught me about nervous system dysregulation from every angle - the clinical mechanisms, workplace stress and burnout, and the chronic, grinding stress of long-term caregiving alongside too many responsibilities. I didn't just study how nervous systems change with long-term stress. I experienced it.

EMBODY finds the root belief keeping your nervous system stuck and changes it using RTT, then gives you the regulation tools to work with how that pattern has been showing up in your body.

No. That's actually a sign your nervous system needs activation, not calming. Most regulation tools assume everyone needs to "calm down." But if you're in shutdown -exhausted, disconnected, foggy - calming techniques make it worse. EMBODY teaches bidirectional regulation: when to upregulate (build energy and capacity) and when to downregulate (release tension and arousal). You'll learn to read your system and use the right tool.

It's not mystical - it's accessing brain states (theta waves) where pattern change happens faster. I use RTT® specifically for the subconscious patterns driving chronic stress, anxiety, and reactivity.

The founding client rate is $2,800 NZD (standard rate is $3,500). This includes 11 hours of 1:1 sessions, comprehensive assessment, personalised regulation protocol, a 90-minute RTT session with custom recording, all programme materials, and between-session email support. Payment options include pay-in-full, fortnightly via Afterpay, or monthly instalments. We'll talk through all of this when you get in touch.

Yes. Standalone RTT sessions are available for $450 (90 minutes, includes a personalised transformation recording). This works best for people who've already done some therapeutic or nervous system work and want targeted subconscious pattern change.
